Coding club at Winscombe Primary School

After school coding club for children in Year 3 – Year 6 who wish to learn to code or improve their coding skills. The children will be using the Scratch programming language and will create a project each week that will challenge them in each lesson.

The children also learn computational thinking by solving coding puzzles.

At coding club the children learn programming concepts and digital skills. They will…

  • code their own games
  • apply computational thinking to projects
  • learn to think logically and solve problems
  • debug their projects
  • collaborate with others

Term 3 dates (Jan – Feb 2024)

There is no coding club during Term 3. If you would like the coding club to return in Term 4, please contact the school office.

When?

After school from 3:15pm – 4:15pm.

The lessons take place in the school library.

Where?

In School. Please ask your child to make their way to the school’s library straight after school finishes.
