Coding Club at Yatton Schools

At coding club the children learn computational thinking, the fundamentals of computer programming and digital skills. They also learn to collaborate with each other in a fun and friendly environment. The lessons are tailored to suit different year groups.

The club is suitable for beginners and more advanced coders.

Make a Pokémon game in Scratch

The children will learn how to make games and stories using the Scratch programming language. 

  • Learn to code by making your own games using the Scratch programming language
  • Drag and drop blocks of code and learn programming concepts
  • Learn to think like a computer programmer. Share your games and have fun with your friends.

The children will use the Scratch programming language to create games and stories. They will learn about algorithms and how to design and program a Pokémon game with their favourite characters. The children will also learn computational thinking by solving programming puzzles.
