Scratch for beginners

Years 3 – 6 (Term 2)

Mondays 4pm – 5pm (online)

At coding club the children learn computational thinking, the fundamentals of computer programming and digital skills. They also learn to collaborate with each other in a fun and friendly environment. We use a virtual classroom and live video lessons.

Learn to program with Scratch

The children will use the Scratch programming language to create a games and stories. They will learn about algorithms and how to solve computational puzzles. 

  • Learn to code by making your own games using the Scratch programming language
  • Drag and drop blocks of code and learn programming concepts
  • Share and remix games.

This class is suitable for absolute beginners – i.e. with no previous experience of Scratch.

Requirements

The children will need a laptop/desktop device with camera and audio.
