At coding club the children learn computational thinking, the fundamentals of computer programming and digital skills. They also learn to collaborate with each other in a fun and friendly environment. We use a virtual classroom and live video lessons.
Make games and stories in Scratch
The children will use the Scratch programming language to create games and stories. The children will also learn about algorithms and how to solve computational puzzles.
Children in Year 5 & 6 will also learn computational thinking using interactive games.
- Learn to code by making your own games using the Scratch programming language
- Drag and drop blocks of code and learn programming concepts
- Learn to think like a computer programmer. Share your games with your friends.
The club is suitable for children in Year 3 – Year 6 with some familiarity with Scratch.
The children will need a laptop/desktop device with camera and audio.
