Coding Club at Yatton Schools

At Coding Club the children learn computational thinking, the basics of computer programming and digital skills. They also learn to collaborate with each other in a fun and friendly environment.

 

  • KS2 Years 3 & 4

    Make games and stories in Scratch

    Niffler Scratch Project

    The children will learn how to make games and stories using the Scratch programming language. This term’s theme is Fantastic Beasts. The children will also practice computational thinking by solving puzzles.

  • KS2 Years 5 & 6

    Make games with Scratch and learn to program with Python

    Coding in Python

    The children will use the Scratch programming language to create their own games and stories. This term’s theme is Fantastic Beasts. Year 6 will also use ‘Code Combat’ programming software to learn to program in Python.
